Schizo

I have multiple personalities while prepping for a show. I have days like my last post, on fire, focused and ready to go…which lasted up to last Friday afternoon. Then the pompous, fit girl who is better than a competition diet comes out.  She got it in her head that she was 119.4 down 4 lbs in only like 6 days, so hey no problem on the last 4 lbs. What was I she thinking?

I joke about being the jiggly girl  on stage that everyone mumbles under their breath, “who lied  to her? they should be shot.” But really. I do not want to be that girl. I have slacked on my Cross Fit workouts, thinking I needed to do BB style workouts since I was  doing a BB style competition. Basically, throwing to the fire all the things I learned from CF and how it is really the best fitness program. Really.

Look.  Even this bear is doing it.

So, my CF personality is back and she better plan on sticking around. I’m doing ONLY Cf style workouts until the show.  I’m doing a Zone/BB diet…they are so similar no one would know the dif. I mean seriously? It’s  only 33 days away. Certainly I can be one person for that long. I’m telling you the adult ADD is running wild in my body.

I apologize for being so flighty and inconsistent. No more wishy washy. Really. But hey, makes for interesting blog reading, huh? Maybe…?

Yay!!! Another post!! You can do this friend!!! I KNOW IT!!! And so do YOU!!! Stick to what you love! I’ve had people ask me what is the best workout plan. My response is “The one you like and can stick with!” The little I know about CF I love. It’s really cool. I want to try more of their workouts after the show. For now I’m doing well in my routine.

I saw your tracker post about bicep pain with pullups. Are you kipping? Mine got much better by doing only dead hang chins and pulls…and laying off the curls. Just a thought.

One Trackback

  1. [...] Here’s a post a year later, October 2008. I’m prepping for yet another show, but this one I did with a friend. At this point I had been sipping the Crossfit Kool Aid, as they say. As soon at this show finished, I sallied forth on the Crossfit journey and haven’t looked back since. I do love the bear picture. [...]
