But it’s cozy under my rock. And we can dance here.

Ok, so I never professed to be a serious music fan, afficianado or any other word that might proclaim that I know the first thing about bands or the songs they play.

I’m going to confess something to you. It might shock a few of you, so sit down.

I had never even heard of Radiohead until about 4 months ago. I went to iTunes and listened to some clips to see what all the hoopla was about. Um. Can someone tell me what all the hoopla is about? Maybe it’s just my taste, which i will reveal to you is not deep, nor cultured.

I listened to a lot of popular 70’s (light) rock growing up, you know “Goodbye Girl”. Is that rock?

As I grew up I liked pop music. I listened to UB40, Wham, Madonna and Cindi Lauper. As music goes I guess I’m more the wine cooler of the listening crowd, or at least that is how I feel. I listened to a couple of friends talk about music and groups and their CD’s and to me it was like listening to to birds chirp at each other. I hear noise but none of it means a thing to me.

Anyhoo, I’m sorry that I cannot share your taste for Radiohead, or whatever the 2002 Pinot Noir crowd are listening to. I’m just a Mango Melon cooler kind of gal. Or Justin Timberlake. Same thing.

I don’t think I’ve heard a Radiohead song before. Can I ask the same hoopla question on Amy Winehouse? She skeeves me out big time.

OMG this is HILARIOUS!!!! Except I’m not sure if we can be friends now…he he…just kidding. We all like what we like. Madonna is one of my favorite artists, although she more of a marketing machine than artist. Regardless, I LOVE her. Cyndi Lauper is fun. Justine Timberlake…uh…no…unless he’s singing with Madge.

Sometime when your alone (I know it’s rare) listen to Radiohead’s OK Computer. You can borrow mine. You can’t really tell how great it is by listening to the short clips on iTunes. This was one of the first albums that was physical when I listened to it. Get your mind out of the gutter…all I mean is that I feel moved almost on a spiritual level when I listen to it. Thome York’s voice, imo, is PERFECT. His range is incredible and his voice does exactly what he wants it to. Their sound is also unique, unlike so many bands you hear when you turn on the radio. But maybe it’s just not your thing and that’s okay. Regardless, your post had Brent and I laughing!

After our show come over for wine. We can sit around the fire pit and listen to Radiohead or George Michael if you prefer!

I’m with you my MP3 is pretty much just 80’s rock/heavy metal. The only time I get new music is when I hear something in spin class that I really like. I pretty much listen to all music with the thought - would this be good to workout too?
