My Family
We had a beautiful Christmas. Just the right amount of people, new traditions started and of course food. I really don’t think I overdid the food, just the drink.
It doesn’t take much to quit that though. I feel just the right amount of crummy to make me see that I need to get back to the straight and narrow. Not to mention tossing all the leftover crap. A plate of cookies, toffee and brownies slid into the trash this morning. I just have to pace myself on the chocolate covered espresso beans from Santa.
I cannot throw those away.
My honey surprised me with an iPhone. Turkey. We were “saving” for a new Sleep Number bed. We will still get the bed. I do love that darn phone though. I remember when my dad used to say “The phone is not a toy, young lady. It’s a tool. Make a call and then get off.” Well, dad, I’m afraid THIS phone IS a toy. PS…Miss you, dad.
Here is a picture of my little family at the beach Christmas morning. We took cinnamon rolls and hot cocoa and enjoyed the peacefulness of the ocean. It was a bit windy as you can see by my boys hair. The second pic is my family, with my sister and her kids and respective spouses and kids, with my mom on the left, peeking out. She’s 79, but you’d never know it if you met her.
I hope yours was awesome, too!

That is one good looking family you have there. Glad your holidays were nice. The ocean, WOW what a neat thing to do on X-mas morning even if it is cold and windy. I would love to be near the ocean.
